A little update on my life this lovely Friday afternoon.
I’m in LA!!! Finally! It feels so good to be back home, you have no idea. California gets in your bones and never leaves. Yeah people like to come here for vacation and they think it’s cool and all, but it’s more than just the beach and Disneyland. It’s like everything.
Anyways, so I’m back in SoCal and trying to catch up on my crazy life. If there’s one thing I can do better than anyone else, it’s pile so much on my plate that everything begins to fall off (beginning with sleep). I have a lot of catching up to do, but it helps so much to be back in the sun and the fast-paced life. Like I told someone last night, I’m affected so much by where I am, it’s unreal.
It’s been amazing seeing my Cali friends too! I’ve missed all of them so much, and I still haven’t reconnected with half of them.
Up on the horizon is a whole lot. A week from Tuesday, I leave to go to Colorado with my super awesome CollegePlus friends Christiana, Ali, and Jessica (Check out Christiana’s blog here if you haven’t already!!!). We’re flying into Denver and then going about an hour and a half outside of the city to Estes Park where we’ll continue our Leadership Class and get to meet Dr. Jeff Myers in person! That ends Friday morning, and after that, we are going to connect with my coach through CollegePlus (who is also Jessica’s coach!!!) and we’ll get to see a little bit of Denver (Oh, also check out my coach’s blog here)!!! So there’s that trip.
Then I come back to LA to get a handle on my life and get ahead in school. And work continues on with planning the CPE3 happening exclusively for CollegePlus students September 15-19. At some point there’s a possibility I’ll be going to the midwest to continue working on that.
After I go back to Spokane in the middle of May, a couple roadtrips to Seattle are in the books and of course, 4th of July. If you didn’t know, 4th of July is my favorite holiday. Yes, beats Christmas.
And then right after 4th of July I’m probably going down to the South to visit family (!!!) and then back to LA. And, I don’t know, maybe I’ll work in a little roadtrip to San Francisco sometime at the end of summer. Of course, September marks the CPE3, so I get to go back to Texas!!! (And get unnerved at the unnatural level of conservatism there.)
Is your head spinning? Yeah, mine too. I’m extremely excited for the rest of this year. All I wanted to do this year was travel and God (amazing God that He is) granted my wish, however trivial that is.
Anyways, TGIF. But it’s more TGIF because now I’m in LA and last Monday I was thinking towards this Friday just because of that.
What’s one thing that you’re looking forward to this year??? Comment below!
Am I right?
